Gergely Péterfy

Pataki Elvira: Seas, Islands, Myth – The Image of Antiquity in Contemporary Hungarian Children’s Prose

The prose works to be analyzed are products of the last decade and a half, for which the authors primarily designate the 8-12 age group as their target audience—children who are already reading independently and becoming receptive to more extensive, complex narratives. For this reason, the novel by former classicist Péterfy Gergely, addressed to older readers, is excluded from the selection:
Eternal Valley: A Pannonian Tale (Pozsony, Kalligram, 2012).
