P\u00e9terfy Gergely’s novel The Bullet That Killed Pushkin<\/em> was one of last year’s most outstanding<\/a> contemporary literary works, a finalist for the Libri Literary Prize.<\/a> The author presented<\/a> the novel on the stage of last summer’s Marg\u00f3 Literary Festival: the conversation held there is fully available for listening<\/a> on the Marg\u00f3 Spotify channel<\/a>. In the family saga spanning nearly a century, alongside the afterlife of the aforementioned bullet, diverse topics are explored, such as the transformation of gender identity, the preservation of bourgeois values<\/a>, and even, related to this, the experience of personal isolation, which has become particularly relevant today.
