Gergely Péterfy

“In literature, what is small or scarce does not mean it is insignificant.”

The 87th Festive Book Week will be held from June 9 to 13 in Budapest’s Vörösmarty Square. On this occasion, we interviewed Sándor Mészáros, head of Kalligram Publishing House.

I believe three of our books are sure to capture the interest of a wider readership: Gergely Péterfy’s collection of essays, East of Everything, or a Romanian Spy in the Weiss Family, contains writings that caused a stir upon their initial publication in various newspapers. Furthermore, the author’s novel, The Stuffed Barbarian, published two years ago, is still at the top of the sales charts.
